The administrators of PCES would like to recognize Mrs. Wilson (Kindergarten teacher) as November's teacher of the month. Mrs. Wilson has been teaching for seven years. She loves to teach Kindergarten. Her favorite thing about kindergarten is the curriculum and teaching reading. Her favorite thing about PCES is her grade level and their relationships. She is an Auburn graduate and a product of Phenix City schools. Some fun facts about Mrs. Wilson are: She is an only child, she makes great macaroni and cheese, she was a Central High School cheerleader, and she hopes to be a school counselor one day. Congratulations Mrs. Wilson! Keep Soaring!
Congratulations to Ms. Baker, our speech therapist. This past Tuesday at the school board meeting, Ms. Lapandria Baker was recognized as our recipient of the fall semester I Make A Difference Award. Ms. Baker, was chosen by the administrative team for her hard work and dedication to not only her department but to our school. Ms. Baker has stepped right in and taken the lead in guiding our special education department. Thank you for soaring Ms. Baker!

Educators in Phenix City gathered together to learn more about the 2017-2018 projects and how they will impact the students in Phenix City. 5 of our very own educators were present and pictured below. Check back later for more information about projects being implemented with PCEF funding. Phenix City Elementary School thanks the Phenix City Education Foundation for their continued support!
Phenix City Schools hosted it's first annual STEMposium yesterday, July 26, 2017. Over 200 guests participated in a day long conference centered around Phenix City's STEM K-7 initiative. Guests started at the Courtyard Marriot and made their way to PCIS and PCES. Conference participants received hands on experience at each of our five Smart Lab stations and left with a full understanding of how STEM education encourages student and teacher engagement.
